IAM Technical Expert – Application Access & Provisioning

Location: Lausanne or Olten, Switzerland (up to 2 days/week remote)

Duration: Temporary contract until end of 2026

About the role

Our client is a large Swiss organisation seeking an IAM Technical Expert to implement and optimise identity integrations, provisioning workflows, and application onboarding — supporting a centralised and automated access lifecycle management programme.

This is a critical hands-on role focused on driving application integration maturity and ensuring robust, standardised access management across a complex enterprise application landscape. The resource will be mandatory for the implementation of the organisation's overarching IAM authentication and access control framework.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive inventory of applications managed by the IAM platform

  • Identify applications not yet integrated with IAM processes and establish remediation and onboarding plans

  • Assess application access management maturity, identifying gaps in provisioning, deprovisioning, authentication, and authorisation

  • Evaluate application authentication methods and identify gaps related to SSO, federation, MFA, and Microsoft Entra ID

  • Support application discovery initiatives to identify unknown, unmanaged, or locally administered applications

  • Integrate applications with the IAM platform and Microsoft Entra ID, in collaboration with the broader IAM team

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting IAM solutions

  • Hands-on experience integrating enterprise applications with IAM platforms

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, SSO, federation (SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect), and MFA technologies

  • Understanding of REST APIs, LDAP, Active Directory, SCIM, and identity provisioning standards

  • Experience implementing automated provisioning and deprovisioning workflows

  • Experience integrating legacy applications into modern IAM ecosystems

  • Strong troubleshooting and technical documentation skills

  • Fluent English required; German and/or French is an asset

  • Experience with PowerShell, scripting, or automation tools is a plus

Preferred background

We are particularly interested in candidates with deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD environments and a proven track record in assessing and improving application authentication architectures in large enterprise settings.

Previous experience as an IAM Engineer, Entra ID Specialist, Identity Engineer, or IAM Architect would be highly valued.
