We are recruiting for a leading industrial player in the cosmetics / specialty chemicals sector, operating complex chemical production and industrialisation environments.
This is a senior-level Process Safety role for an expert capable of leading quantitative risk assessments and supporting industrial decision-making at site level.
Your Mission
You will act as the site reference for Process Safety, ensuring the robustness of the Process Safety Management System and supporting Production, Engineering, and Industrialisation teams during scale-up and plant operations.
This is not a general HSE role, it is a highly technical Process Safety position.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and validate HAZOP, LOPA and quantitative risk assessments (QRA)
Ensure compliance with ATEX, explosion risk and fire safety standards
Support Management of Change (MOC) from a process safety standpoint
Evaluate process risks during scale-up and industrialisation
Maintain and update site risk portfolio
Interface with regulatory authorities when required
Drive continuous improvement of process safety culture
Mandatory Requirements
Master’s degree in Process Safety / Industrial Risk / SPIEQ (or equivalent specialization)
5–10 years of experience in industrial chemical or fine chemicals environment
Strong expertise in:
Process hazard analysis (HAZOP / LOPA)
ATEX & explosion risk
Safety Instrumented Systems (SIL)
Quantitative Risk Assessment
Industrial fire and toxic release modelling
Fluent French and professional English
Ideal Profile
Experience in specialty chemicals, cosmetics, pharma or fine chemicals
Comfortable challenging engineering designs
Able to interact with Production, R&D and industrialisation teams
Strong technical credibility
Autonomous and structured
